Welcome to Scalacoms Knowledge base
We’ve built a comprehensive documentation system to help you manage all aspects of your Scalacoms hosting. You’ll find tips and tricks on managing your website and domains here.
Logging in to cPanel
After ordering your hosting from Scalacoms, you’ll receive a welcome email with details on how to log in to your hosting control panel once your hosting is activated (usually within a few minutes of your order). If you don’t receive your welcome email, please contact us to ensure everything is set up correctly.
To log in to your hosting:
- Go to Scalacoms Client Area.
- Log in with your credentials.
- Click on Services and then My Services.
- Select your hosting package and click Login to cPanel.
Your login credentials are stored securely as a token. If the login fails, please contact us to reset it.
Email Setup
Once logged into cPanel, you’ll see various icons to manage your hosting. To set up email:
- Click on Email Accounts.
- Create email addresses using your domain (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com).
To access your email, you can use an email client like Mac Mail, Outlook, or Thunderbird, or use webmail by visiting https://webmail.yourdomain.com. Log in with the mailbox username and password you created. If you need help setting up your email client, please contact us.
Installing Applications (e.g., WordPress)
In cPanel:
- Scroll down to Softaculous Apps Installer.
- Click the icon of the application you want to install (e.g., WordPress, Magento, Prestashop, Joomla).
- Enter the required information and click Install.
- Log in to the admin area to start using your application.
Nameservers
If you ordered a domain from Scalacoms with your hosting, your nameservers will be set automatically. If you transferred a domain or want to use a domain registered elsewhere, update the nameservers to:
- ns1.scalacoms.com
- ns2.scalacoms.com
- ns3.scalacoms.com
- ns4.scalacoms.com
